My great Aunt was a lovely woman, kind and creative.
Last night I spent thinking about her as I took some shots of a dress she made, to use for layering in my digital images.
My day had been spent merging 3 family snaps from the 1970’s…shack memories, photo album treasures that provoke all the feelings.
What do we want – FEELINGS!
When do we want them – er maybe later, trying to work here…

I has been a very long time since I last applied charcoal to paper, but here I was at ACE Open in unfamiliar territory and loving it. It was a brilliant day surrounded by other artists being shown techniques new to them and just going for it!

A quick post re my current residency at ACE Open
After week one my test pieces are taking shape…they have gone through a few iterations but currently I am happy with this direction.
A mix of 1960 family photographs, my documentation of the deteriorating family shack and 1940 – 1960’s magazines that I read avidly during the many school holidays spent at Black Point.
